My Name is alexander Porretto,
I am a fourth generation Galvestonian and my family has been here for over 140 years as Italian immigrants. We have been here storm after storm helping our neighbors and communities build and rebuild.
I attended Texas A&M at Galveston and received my bachelors in Marine Environmental Law and Policy and a Masters of Marine Resources Management, the focus of my studies were solely on Galveston. During my time I received the President’s coin because of my actions with fellow Aggies during Hurricane Harvey rescues.
I am an avid outdoorsman, a great friend, and have very strong ties to Galveston Island. I operate Porretto Beach with my family, of which we have proudly owned and operated for over 65 years. I am getting married to my beautiful fiancé Dot Comeaux in October. We live and work in Galveston full-time and want to start a family here soon.
